Administration Confident That Positive Thinking Addresses Climate Crisis
London
The British government has announced a comprehensive climate policy: suggesting that weather will “improve,” with officials expressing complete confidence that positive thinking and optimistic prediction will somehow reverse climate change and environmental destruction.
“Climate will improve,” a government official announced. “We’re very optimistic about environmental future. That optimism will create climate improvement.”
The policy involves: issuing statement that weather will get better, apparently expecting positive thinking will overcome climate change and atmospheric carbon accumulation.
Climate change results from greenhouse gas accumulation requiring policy intervention including emission reduction, energy transition, and systemic changenot optimistic prediction. Officials apparently believe positive thinking replaces policy.
“The climate will improve because we’re thinking positively about it,” one minister explained. “Optimistic thinking creates reality. That’s how climate works.”
When asked whether positive thinking addresses climate change, the government responded: “Climate responds to human expectation. If we expect improvement, climate will improve. That’s manifestation.”
Climate indicators continue declining despite government optimism. The government celebrates: “We’re thinking very positively. The climate just hasn’t received our positive thoughts yet. More optimism needed.”
Climate science documents that greenhouse gas emission reduction requires policy action; positive thinking without emission reductions doesn’t affect atmospheric carbon. The government has apparently abandoned science in favor of manifestation.
“We’re the most optimistic government,” officials concluded. “Our positive climate thinking proves our commitment to environmental improvement. The fact that climate continues deteriorating is irrelevant compared to our optimism.”

British comedy requires balancing serious while being funny and funny while being serious. That’s the whole formula.
