City Unbothered Continues Drinking Expensive Coffee

A growing narrative claims that London is under attack by Donald Trump and the global right, a development London greeted with a shrug and a £6 coffee.

Commentators warned of ideological warfare, cultural battles, and rhetorical assaults. Londoners responded by missing the point entirely and asking whether the Tube was running.

The city, long accused of everything from elitism to excess vowels, continues largely unchanged, confident that outrage elsewhere is not legally binding.

Political analysts noted that London’s status as a global punching bag has been consistent across centuries, suggesting either remarkable resilience or complete obliviousness.

The Mayor of London released a statement defending the city’s values whilst simultaneously approving another luxury development nobody asked for.

International observers confirmed that attacking London has become a popular pastime for politicians seeking to demonstrate they represent “real people,” a category that apparently excludes the nine million humans currently living in London.

Residents interviewed in Peckham, Hackney, and Croydon expressed mild confusion about being portrayed as metropolitan elites, particularly those working three jobs to afford Zone 4 rent.

At press time, London had responded to global condemnation by increasing coffee prices, building another tower block, and continuing to exist in ways that annoy people who don’t live there.

The capital city confirmed it would consider the criticism carefully before ignoring it entirely, a tradition dating back to at least 1066.
